A bushel of thanks

Thanks to the wonderful staff at St. Gertrude, Walter, Peter, Layton, Tom, and Marge for their diligence in helping pull the St. Nick’s Bazaar together. There is a long list of people who need to be recognized as stalwarts in this yearly endeavor - Therese Kevorkian, RoseMarie Anichini, Lauri Jacob, (who did both publicity and the crafter tables), Kristi Erickson, Julie O’Donaghue, Tom and Sara Lisy, Dorothy Denzler, Jane & Andy Elwood, Jim Thompson-Wilda, Mike and Leigh Holzman, Mike Volini, Bobbie Spring, Ellen Duff, Ann O’Connor, Madelinie Kiedysz, Nancy Merrill, the boy scouts, the 8th grade confirmation class, and a wealth of wonderful volunteers. And a special thanks to all the spouses who supported these volunteers in this indulgence ¦ especially Vicki Turbov. ¦ Joe Glueckert Social Life CommitteeThanks to the many people who make our cookie project such a spectacular and successful event. Once again you came through with over 2,600 cookies to delight and warm the hearts of our seniors. One senior said she just had to call to say thanks right away - she said she was made speechless by such a wonderful gift. This miracle could not have happened without the generosity of those who baked the cookies, those who assembled the boxes and finally those who delivered the gift bags. My warmest thanks to all of you for brining so much jot into the lives of others by the most precious gift of your time. Mary Ann Collins, Heart to Heart

A very special thank you to Julie Bujnowski, Corey Kasten, Emily Proppe, and Sarah Wiklin for taking such good care of our pre-schoolers. These four young women are in their third year with the pre-school religion class that meets Sunday mornings during the 10am mass. The tableau at the Christmas Eve Family Mass is their responsibility and we commend them for a job well done. Sue Jungers
