We also struggle with such things as crime, racism, family stress, underemployment, and materialism, all of which make it more difficult to live peaceful lives. You can make a difference in the life of an older member in our community by volunteering with St. Gertrude’s Heart to Heart program. Right now we are in need of individuals who can drive our seniors to medical appointments, Mass on Sunday, help with grocery shopping or run an errand.
