What plays on my fears and anxieties the most is often what I lack. “Lord, we have worked all night and have caught nothing.” It is easy to let that rule my life. All God asks of me is a mustard seed of faith and trust, “…but at your command I will lower the nets.” You would think in Peter’s case in today’s gospel, that now he’s set. However, the challenge is even deeper: “to leave everything and follow him.” Now we are really getting into deep waters. What in your life has been your deeper call?
