St. Gertrude Catholic Parish

This Sunday, St. Gertrude Pax Christi is sponsoring the Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW). The workers will be in the church vestibule after the 10am Mass and later in the gym at 11:45am to give a presentation on the degrading conditions under which they work. The National Council of Churches and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops have joined with other human rights leaders to demand that McDonalds work with CIW to improve wages and working conditions in the McDonald’s supply chain. (McDonald’s purchases the tomatoes the workers harvest.) Learn how we can partner with the farm workers to work for justice. HUMAN CONCERNS
