Interrupters at Mayne Stage Next Thursday 2/16
I am proud to announce that ONE is teaming up with Northwestern University’s Department of African American Studies to bring the 1 Community 1 Struggle Film Series to the northeast side of Chicago! We are kicking off this series in recognition of Black History Month and planning the screenings as educational and community building events.
This coming Thursday, February 16, we will be screening The Interrupters at the Mayne Stage on Morse in Rogers Park.
Two weeks later on March 1, we will be screening Black Power Mix Tape at Alternatives Inc. on Sheridan in Uptown.
Each movie will be followed by a short panel discussion highlighting viewpoints of community leaders and Northwestern Professors.
Please see the attached flier for more info.
Thanks to all of our Co-Sponsors including
Senator Heather Steans, Representative Kelly Cassidy, the Mayne Stage and Alternatives Inc.
Let us know if you plan to come to the film screenings, especially if you will be coming in a group over 10 people.
