Perspectives of Muslim Women in America – Panel Discussion – March 10th at 2:30pm
Are you interested in hearing different perspectives of American Muslim women?
Please join me for a panel discussion to explore the meaning and challenges behind being an American Muslim woman.
The discussion will be based on, but not limited to,I Speak for Myself, a book of 40 personal essays weaving together the stories of American Muslim women.
The discussion panelists include:
- Dr. Zahra Jamal, Post-Doctoral Fellow, University of Chicago and contributor to I Speak for Myself
- Samreen Khan, Senior Policy Advisor at the Office of the Illinois Governor
- Zahra Suratwala, President/CEO of Zahra Ink, Inc. and Co-editor of I Speak for Myself
- Sophia Tareen, Reporter for the Associated Press Chicago

at the Glenview Ismaili Jamat khana
( 100 Shermer Road , Glenview , IL ).
